The Legends at Geist Gazette Legends at Geist Neighborhood News Spring 2012 From your Legends at Geist Homeowners Association Board News for Spyglass Hill, Sawgrass, Quaker Ridge and Haig Point Residents Presidents Corner - Barbara Beaven Happy spring, everyone! The weather has been most kind to us this past winter. While the snow removal expenses for were far over budget, there were no snow removal expenses incurred during this past winter. Your Legends at Geist Board of Directors recently approved a new 3 year contract with a new landscaping company, Becker Landscaping. In addition to summer flowers; for the first time in our communities, there will also be spring flowers planted which you should see in the next few weeks. The mailbox/post replacement, repair or repainting program last summer was a very successful program. We hope that you agree that the spruced up look of the mailboxes and posts have improved the overall appearance of our communities. This project will be ongoing, but in 2012 only those homeowners who need to take some action will be notified. This year the Board will also be focusing on replacing, repairing, or repainting several of our street signs and stop signs. Over the years, people have put up signs or notices on these posts with nails or staples that caused rust stains when not removed. Tape has also been used and when removed has taken the paint with it. We would ask that no tape or staples be used on the posts and to use a small nail which should be removed when the notice is removed. Lastly, just a few reminder items: All exterior improvements, additions or painting should be submitted to the Architectural Committee using the proper form which can be found on our website. Do not park vehicles for extended periods of time on the street. Some of our streets are very narrow making it difficult to navigate. This is a safety issue as well. Please be sure that your coach lights or post lights are operating during the evening hours. This is primarily for the security of the community. Keep trees and bushes trimmed so as to not obstruct the sidewalks. If you havent done so, please provide your address to our website, Thank you for helping keep our neighborhoods beautiful!
