If you are currently in Algebra I If you earned an A or better in Algebra I for the first semester and an A- or better on the Midterm Exam, you may take Honors Geometry (1415). If you earned a C or better in Algebra I for the first semester and a D- or better on the Midterm Exam, you will take College Geometry (1464). If you earned lower than a C in Algebra I for the first semester, you will take Geometry (1414).

Prerequisite Skills for Honors Geometry Graphing and Labeling Points Fractions- sum, difference, product, quotient Order of Operations Operations with Integers Solving Inequalities Evaluate expressions for a given value Solve Equations – Multistep, variables on both sides Slope Equation of a Line – Graphing and Writing Solve Proportions Rounding/Decimal Places Solve Literal Equations Distribution Square Roots/Radicals Multiplying/Dividing Polynomials Elimination/Substitution Simplifying Algebraic Expressions Properties of Exponents

Skills Practice Examples for Honors Geometry 1.2/3 + 3/5 = 2.Find the value of x so that the line that passes through the points (2, 3) and (x, 9) has a slope of 3/2 3.Determine the x- and y-intercepts of 3x-4y=12 4. ax + b = c … solve for x

If you are currently in Honors Geometry If you earned a B- or better in Algebra I and a C+ or better in Honors Geometry for the first semester, you may take Honors Algebra II (1426).
