Overview Please complete the steps in this order for the best results. Step 1 ◦Update iPad to iOS or Higher Step 2 ◦Re-enroll device with MyTUSD.org account Step 3 ◦Create an Apple ID with Parents Step 4 ◦Sign into iCloud & iTunes

Update iPad to iOS or Higher If you iPad is already on iOS or higher continue to next slide. If not do the following: ◦Open Settings ◦Tap the General tab ◦Tap on Software Update ◦Tap Download and Install ◦Once the download is complete, tap Install

Re-Enroll iPad with MyTUSD.Org Account If you are not sure if you have done this, do the following: ◦Open the Settings app ◦Tap the General tab ◦Tap the About tab ◦If the name of your device says your Username you can skip this step (At the very top) ◦Ex: CT-IOS-JohnS1111-DMQLABC123 (JohnS1111 is their MyTUSD.org account username) If you do need to re-enroll please click the following link which will redirect you to documentation with Step by Step instructions on how to enroll the device. ◦Re-Enroll in ClassRe-Enroll in Class ◦Print out to send home as homeworkPrint out to send home as homework

Create an Apple ID with Parents If you already have an Apple ID you can skip this page. If not you will need to do the following: ◦Have your parent create a Parent Portal account and enter a valid Address ◦If your parent/guardian does not have an address they will need to create one and submit this. ◦Parent Portal URL is found on the District Webpage, or at this URL: ◦Apple will send your parents an with steps on how to create the Apple ID ◦Please note this is not an instant process, when you create the Parent Portal it can take up to 48 Hours for Apple to send home the to create the Apple ID’s ◦Apple will then walk you through the process of creating an Apple ID as well as different information for parents/guardians. ◦For more information / assistance for creating Apple ID’s please navigate to the next slide.

Sign into iCloud & iTunes iCloud ◦Click on Settings ◦On the left hand side pane select iCloud ◦Type in your Username and Password ◦Apple requires at least 1 Capital letter, don’t forget. ◦Click Sign In ◦The first popup will appear asking if you would like to merge Safari data to your iCloud. This is not necessary, please click Don’t Merge. ◦The second popup will appear asking if you would like to allow iCloud to use the location of your iPad. Please click OK so you can track your device if it is lost.
