Triangle Side Vertex Count, count, count the sides. Count them 1, 2, 3. A triangle has 3 sides and has 3 vertices. (to the tune Row Row Row Your Boat) Vertex Side

Square Side Vertex This is a square. How can you tell? It has 4 sides, all the same size. It’s a square. (to the tune Frère Jacques) Vertex Side
