HERZL: UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL In Pursuit of the Zionist Vision A traveling exhibition celebrating the visionary of the Jewish State on the 100 th anniversary of his passing

Herzl: Up Close and Personal I truly believe that even after we possess our land, Zionism will not cease to be an ideal. For Zionism includes not only the yearning for a plot of promised land legally acquired for our weary people, but also the yearning for ethical and spiritual fulfillment. from Theodor Herzl’s diary

Herzl: Up Close and Personal 100 years after Herzl’s passing, it is up to a new generation to embrace Herzl’s legacy and make it its own. The exhibit is not just about Herzl – it is about how contemporary Jews can think about, define and shape their own personal relationship to Israel and the Jewish people Individuals visiting the exhibit, reading the materials, and considering the questions posed can become engaged in this process. Their experience can even be enhanced if they are prepared for it by community leaders and educators.
