History Scottish Government asked ISD to develop SDMD to enable the collection of follow-up information on clients in treatment for drug misuse. Total number in treatment Length of time in treatment Changes which occur over time in drug use and social circumstances Interventions

Moving from Paper Forms Data model - Now capturing a client’s full EPISODE OF CARE New data items – dependent children, BBV, alcohol profile, Interventions offered etc. Coverage across Scotland, not just ADP, HB or LA Information will not be shared between agencies. Full Named data is collected on the web- system

Data Model Submission intervals: Initial report after assessment Follow-ups at 3 months and then annually Transfer/ Referral Discharge
