How to achieve at Cornwallis Academy

Do you remember?.... u Do you remember your first day at The Cornwallis Academy? u List the things that you found scary, exciting, worrying. u What would have made your life easier in that first week?

Your Task u You are going to produce a guide book for future students of The Cornwallis Academy. This book will guide them on how to enjoy and achieve in their time at the Cornwallis Academy.

Your Task u You should work in groups u Each group will produce a page. The guide should have the following contents:

The Guide: u How do I organise myself? u What must I wear? u Where are all the subjects based? u What clubs are there? u Personal Experiences – how I achieved. u About the tablet computers.

u You can of course add any thing else to the book that you think is necessary. There should also be a front cover.

The Prize u Once you have completed the book by the end of the term, it will be judged by the key stage 3 STARS against the other books that have been produced. u The best book will win a prize for the whole form. u The book will be printed and given to the Year 6 as they arrive for their induction in to year 7.

Evaluation u There will be an evaluation form to complete at the end of this to evaluate what you have produced and to analyse what you have enjoyed / achieved from this project.
