Benefits  No heavy door or awkward movements on top of engine  NFPA approved walking surface  Secure cover to protect hose from the elements  Meet NFPA 1901 requirement for hose containment.  One touch open/close  Power locks  Manual override

Controls  Activation Button  Manual Over ride lever

Roll-up Walking Surface Roll-up hose bed has grip tread walking surface to prevent firefighters from slipping. Hose bed cover is rated to hold 500 lbs. Note: Use Caution when walking on surface with door half open. Surface may shift up to an inch.

Roll up Door Locks  Cover will automatically lock when door is closed.  Cover will automatically unlock when door is opened.  Keys for Roll up hose bed cover will be with fuel fob and MDT keys on Engine.

Use  Make sure batteries are on  Make sure all obstructions are clear  Hose bed will stop if it becomes bound up on an obstruction  Push button up once to open (one touch will open)  Pushing button down once while door is opening will stop door wherever it is in opening process  Pushing button down after stopping it will begin closing door  Similarly, pushing button up once or twice while closing will stop then open door  Push button down once to close (one touch will close)

If Cover will not Open with Switch Unlock with keys Pull manual override lever. Pulling the lever will disengage the motor and door can be pushed open manually. This is a two person operation. One has to hold the override and the other will have to move the hose bed cover. Note: If cover was manually unlocked with key then cover will have to be relocked with key when closed to allow power lock to engage. Failure to do so may cause cover to open while driving.

If Cover will not Close with Switch Pull manual override lever. Pulling the lever will disengage the motor and door can be pushed close manually. This is a two person operation. One has to hold the override and the other will have to move the hose bed cover.

Caution In the case of cover switch failure, the cover may not lock when closed manually. The cover must be locked manually using the key located with the fuel keys. Failure to do this may cause cover to slide open while driving and the driver may get a “Do Not Mover Apparatus Alarm”.
