ClearCube Confidential Software Demonstration Click to Continue

ClearCube Confidential Click to Continue Data Failover uses NT domain authentication for logon security. Data Failover is accessed via Web Browser. User *********

ClearCube Confidential Click to Continue To manage a computer’s Data Failover properties, simply select the desired computer name. Clicking on “Discover Nodes” will find all computers on the subnet enabled for Data Failover.

ClearCube Confidential The computer you are connected to is always shown here. The Root Directory defines which files will be backed up. Click to Continue After selecting a computer, its configuration screen will appear. You can always access the configuration screen for the computer you are connected to by clicking “Configure.”

ClearCube Confidential Directory Exclusions are those subdirectories that do not need to be backed up. File Exclusions let you define a list of file types that you do not wish to backup. The Replication Factor determines the number of other computers that this computer’s data will be backed up to. Peers are the other computers to which this computer’s data are backed up. These are auto- assigned, but can also be manually entered. Click to Continue

ClearCube Confidential Clicking on “Schedule” brings up the schedule configuration screen for this computer.

ClearCube Confidential This shows what backup jobs have already been defined. This lets you add backup jobs to this computer’s schedule. You can take an immediate snapshot by clicking here. Click to Continue

ClearCube Confidential Click to Continue After taking a manual snapshot, the results are displayed showing the list of files that were archived.

ClearCube Confidential Example Application: Spare Blade Switching Click to Continue

ClearCube Confidential Spare Blade Switching with Data Failover Click to Continue Data Center User A User A is normally connected to the highlighted Blade. But what if that Blade fails? The Help Desk responds by running Switch Manager to remotely switch User A to the allocated Spare Blade (red). User A has a fresh Blade but she doesn’t have her data yet. Help Desk

ClearCube Confidential Spare Blade Switching with Data Failover Click to Continue Data Center User A Last night, Data Failover automatically backed up User A’s data onto User B & C’s Blades (Replication Factor=2). Help Desk

ClearCube Confidential Spare Blade Switching with Data Failover Click to Continue Data Center User A User B User C Network The Help Desk can now move User A’s backed up data from User B or C’s Blade to the Spare Blade.
