Structure #2 I.Inform audience about the problem - why is it a problem (1 – 2 pages) II.Take a stand (Thesis) III.Inquire and Explore (1 page) IV.Analyze and Interpret (1 page) V.Narrative (2 pages) VI.Take a stand (1 – 2 pages) VII.Evaluate and Judge (1 page) VIII.Purpose a solution ( 1 page)

My Structure I.Express and Reflect (2 pages) I.National team experience II.Take a stand – Thesis I.Sports, especially swimming can help to deepen a high schooler’s understanding of physics while creating a fun learning atmosphere. III.Inform (2 pages) I.HS students avoid physics because they think that it is too hard and uninteresting II.Statics about why they don’t take, current grades, the number of students enrolled IV.Take a Stand (6 pages) I.Inquire and Explore - what can teachers due make physics more exciting and appealing to HS? II.Analyze and Interpret- How can sports help? What physics concepts do sports address? III. Evaluate and Judge – what studies have already been conducted to incorporate sports into physic concepts? What where the results? V.Solution (1 page) I.Sports can be effective when trying to teach HS physics. Schools should have a physics class that would explore this option.

Bottom line However you structure your essay – everything goes back to your stand – your thesis!!! Go deep – analyze – think about your topic from all points of view but always bring back to thesis and proving your point! Convince your audience that your solution is the best – the most logical!
