Presentation transcript:

Why? Because the world urgently needs Peace and Unity Because God wants us to pray “Because prayer leads to faith, faith leads to love, love leads to service and service leads to peace”

 Because it is a prayer and meditation about the mysteries of our faith.  Because by the hand of Mary we get near Jesus.  Because the holy Virgin wants us to pray it. Why The Holy Rosary?

Why children? Because children are the future of the world. Because Jesus said: “Let the children be with me”. Because each time the Virgin has appeared to children she has asked them to say the Rosary.

At the schools The schools that wish to participate will receive support material From 4th grade to high school (A-Level) Say the mysteries of the rosary according to the day. From 1st to 3rd grade Say only one mystery or as many as the teacher considers appropriate. Kindergarten Carry out activities related to the rosary (for ex.): - Color a rosary. - Appropriate prayers and songs. - Bring flowers to the Virgins. Where?

The children can join in prayer: At the schools, in the classrooms, in the yards or in the chapel (if available). - At their homes, at their parish or in the street. - In the hospitals, in the orphanages. - Any place where they are.

1 MILLION CHILDREN together in the prayer Of course, we would be very glad if children from other religions also participate in this prayer for unity and peace in the world. We heartily invite them to join us and pray in their form. And what about children of other religions?

The schools that would like to participate in this prayer will get all the necessary materials.

If you want to join, help or if you have any question about this project, please mail us: Mail: What is necessary?

Who invites? The Central Venezuelan Catholic committee and children from all over the world.

Join us!

Dear friend! You don’t know me, but I know that you have a family and a school as I have, a heart, like mine, many dreams like mine and even bigger wishes to make them come true. Dear friend, I want to share a dream with you, as somebody did with me. Our Mother in heaven, who holds us close to her heart and takes great care of us, needs us. Together we want to pray to God, our heavenly father, for peace and unity, in ourselves, in our families, in our countries and in the whole world. Join in and pray with us on October 18th at 9 o’clock am wherever you are: at school, on the street, at home or any other place. Next/Close to you there will be your teachers, your friends and your family. Since 2005 many children from all over the world like YOU have joined the initiative „One Million Children Praying the Rosary for Unity and Peace“. With Gods help this year we will be more. Some years ago Pater Pio once said: „If one million children pray the rosary the world will change.“ Join in! If you want Peace, let’s pray for it together...

one million children praying together f or unity and peace Dear Mr./Mrs., We would like to inform you about an event that will take place on the 18 October at 9:00 o'clock. One million children praying together for unity and peace is the dream we yearn to accomplish. The Central Venezuelan Committee with the help of private and state schools, and also universities, organizes and coordinates this event with great enthusiasm. We wish to invite you and especially the children which study at your school to take part in the prayer on October 18 th at 9:00 o'clock. It is a prayer for the unity and peace in our families, our nations and in the whole world. This event has already taken place the previous years. Thousands of children from all over the world have gathered together for praying. Starting from Venezuela this project has reached many different corners of the earth; such as Argentina, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Germany, Russia and Kenya. We would be very obliged to you if you join us in the realizing of this prayer. Your participation in this project is very important. Only through the collaboration and enthusiasm of many people can this dream be accomplished. If you agree to take part in this project there is no need to organize a special meeting or spend any money. All you have to do is gather together on October 18 th and pray. Sincerely yours, Mario Gonzales Casado President Consejo Nacional de Laicos Venezuela
