HOW WE GOT INVOLVED We met Sarah through our school The Children Fund had money to spend on making Wingate a better place Sarah asked us how the Children’s Fund could make Wingate better; we told her; we want a ……………………………………………….

WHAT WE DECIDED  We wanted to find out what other children thought should be in Wingate  We decided to do some research

WHO USED IT WE USED THE PICTURES IN SCHOOLS AND SPOKE ABOUT WHAT WE SAW WE ALSO RECORDED THEIR IDEAS ON A DICTA PHONE

MATERIAL WE USED VIDEO We used a video to help make discussion in schools around what they like and dislike in Wingate

WHO SAW THE VIDEO Stacy, Judy and others made a video of the local parks and we showed this in the infant and junior schools

CONCLUSION We have found out that the 5 most important things to 5-13 year olds are: –Better parks and better equipment –Shops –Skate park for Blades, BMX, Skateboards –Football pitch and clubs –Swimming pool

WHAT WE LIKED ABOUT DOING THE RESEARCH WE GOT SOME DAYS OFF OF SCHOOL WORKED WITH KIDS SOMETHING DIFFERENT

WHAT WE DID NOT LIKE 1.The older children were harder to talk to 2.Teachers didn’t work with me 3. It was very hectic
