Presentation transcript:

In this picture we downloaded a picture of the Sahara desert, and then created waves using a combination of the artistic paint brush, the healing tool, the smudging tool, and the clone stamp. Next we used the burn tool to create the shadows on the wave. Finally we cut pictures of surfers an pasted them into the new picture

The original picture was just of the surfer in the wetsuit in the middle. We then pasted in a picture of a cloud, and used the clone stamp and the smudging tool to create the wind, and finally pasted in the surfer to create the windsurfer. Next we used the paint brush and smudge tool to create the wake for the body surfer and pasted in 2 bodies. Finally, we clone stamped the original surfer’s wake and pasted in a surfboard and a kite to create our kitesurfer.

This image was created to demonstrate the idea that kiteboarding is the hybrid sport of surfing and wakeboarding. First, we began with a picture of a kiteboarder, then we pasted in a picture of a wakeboarder. We made 2 more copies of this wakeboarder and used free transform to rotate and move the copies. Finally we changed the opacities of the different wakeboarders so they became more solid as they ‘became’ the kiteboarder. The surfer was harder because we had to find 3 different pictures of surfers. Of course we couldn’t find pictures of the same surfer, so with each individual surfer we had to use the paint brush to color their shorts orange and their boards white. Also one of them was wearing a rash guard, so we had to create a pattern stamp to give him skin. Once we altered each surfer to resemble the kiteboarder, we repeated the steps used with the wakeboarder.

To create this image, we took a picture of the back of a cruise ship and pasted in a picture of a wakeboarder. We had to use the clone stamp to fill in the areas between his legs and arms to match his background. We then drew in a rope with the pencil. Next we added a text box, rotated it, and placed it in the corner to make it look like a postcard. Finally we used the posterize effect to finish the postcard look

When creating this image, we first found a picture of Dane Reynolds surfing. After we had found this picture we made a box around him and shaded the rest of the picture slightly red to shift the focus completely to his maneuver. We then found a quote by him and put it on the image. We also found a picture of him not surfing and cropped the face out and added it to the image. We had to use the clone stamp tool to complete his head and changed the opacity so he wouldn’t be the main focus of the picture

For the evolution of water sports image we started with a picture from a good day of a wave right near my house. We then got a picture of surfer/musician Jack Johnson and a picture of an old Hawaiian surfing legend Eddie Aikua. We superimposed their images on the picture of the wave near my house and also superimposed someone wakeboarding in the background. We then distorted the image and changed the light properties. Finally we added the text and merged layers.

To create this picture, we began with a simple picture of a man surfing a wave. Then we erased the man from the picture and pasted in our grandma. Next we found a picture of a ironing board, but since the color was too close to the color of the wave, we had to use the pattern stamp to give it a different color. Once we had done this we pasted in the ironing board under the grandma. Then we change the hue and saturation of the background to make the wave a darker blue. Finally we used the dodge and sponge tool to highlight and saturate the grandma and the ironing board, and we used the burn and sponge to tool to further darken and desaturate the wave

For this image we cut out a wakeboarder getting pulled by a boat using the magnetic lasso, and pasted it onto a wave. Then we superimposed a wakeboarder not getting pulled by a boat onto the wave to make him appear to be surfing. To do this we used the lasso and free transform tools. We also used clone stamp to create the boat’s wake
