Diploma Verifications ◦ Students have already seen these in Planning 12 and programming last year ◦ Students/parents correct errors – online marks, external credits, etc ◦ New data transferred to the Ministry regularly ◦ Unofficial transcript available at BC Ministry of Education website
Purpose of DVR’s: verify the information sent to Ministry double check all graduation requirements met student’s responsibility to make sure the information on his/her DVR is accurate and to ensure missing requirements are being addressed Students will review their official DVR in Planning 12
Unofficial transcripts available by order in the main office (sign up sheet – 1 week) Record of successfully completed Gr. 10, 11 & 12 courses Official transcripts mailed to home address in August.

You will complete the PSI form (Post- Secondary Institutions) in Planning 12 class this fall Gives the Ministry of Education permission to release your school and exam results to the Post Secondary Institutions that you indicate --Available only in electronic format PSI selections made between November and mid July. Form available only until JULY 15.

Distributed Learning, (ONLINE), courses are different…see me if you are unsure DL school sends grade to Ministry IDEALLY - complete DL courses by March/early April so the DL schools can submit grades course must be at least 50% complete by end of March/early April for a submission of the mark to the Ministry (there are exceptions- double check)
FOR UBC… – If you wish to use your Distributed Learning (online) course in the calculation of your competitive admission average, the course must be 100% complete by February 1, Online courses that are being used to meet prerequisites, ( for example, French 11), can be completed by June 30, 2015

You should write your SAT (hopefully done!) as soon as possible if you are planning to attend a U.S. university.
Almost every post secondary institution has some sort of “English Language Proficiency” requirement The most common is the Language Proficiency Index (LPI ) Fee is $ Handsworth date TBA – usually in April No walk-ins.
