Directing: Leading People, Not Managing Things managing things Planning, organizing, and controlling are about managing things leading people Directing is about leading people

Explain in your own words what the phrase directing means leading people, not managing things means to you. 3. Define the term leadership in your own words. Give an example from your personal experience in which you observed good leadership. Give an example in which you observed bad leadership, and explain how you could have done better.

Is formal or informal mentoring more important to a successful business? Explain the reasons for your choice. 8. Describe your management style and explain why you think it works best.
