Medium Sensitivity What can the Wizard do for you ? The Wizard will allow you to quickly and easily issue benefits to your clients It will replace notes and notes string It will replace lengthy calculations and cheat sheets Three or four intuitive steps is all thats needed to complete the Wizard 1/24/2014 3
What are these intuitive steps ? You select the benefit type and the Wizard guides you to enter the amount, the payee and the payment method The Wizard knows that certain benefits require an extra step This extra step or, additional information page, requires a greater degree of detail
Additional Information page Benefits which require an additional information page are : Mandatory Special Necessities benefits Travel and Transportation for Medical purposes (OW) Diabetic Supplies, Surgical Supplies and Dressings (OW) Employment Training Start Up benefit Other Employment and Employment Activities benefit Employment Related Expenses Vision Care, Hearing Aid, Mobility Devices Lets look at the additional information page for the ODSP MSN Medical Transportation- Travel as an example…
Additional Information page As you can see, details usually recorded in Notes are now entered directly in dedicated fields Additionally, in this example, the system will automatically calculate a $ Benefit amount based on Cost per visit x Number of Visits per Month fields
Rules, Rules, Rules Is the case active? Is the member active? Has the amount of the Additional benefit exceeded a set maximum? When was it last issued? These are examples of rules that have been automated and will be applied on SAVE, the final step of the wizard
SAVE, the final step On SAVE the following happens The Benefit is calculated The Eligibility is determined The results are displayed for you to view and understand how the system arrived at that decision The Benefit is added to monthly cheque or can be issued in real time The system generates a letter whether benefit approved or denied
