REPORTING GUIDELINES- Note by Secretary - General 3.States should consider the reporting process, including the process of preparation of their reports … as an opportunity …. of more efficient policy planning and implementation of the Convention. States Parties should encourage and facilitate the involvement of NGO’s including organizations of PWDs in the preparation of reports….The reports should contain an explanation of the procedure used to consult with civil society and in particular with representative organisations of PWDs and the measures taken to ensure that this process was fully accessible. 4.States Parties must recognize and respect the diversity of PWDs and ensure that their report is not generalized, but specific to different types of disability.
