IVS ® : Your Choice

What is IVS ® ? The Interactive Voting System (IVS ® ) is an interactive means of making presentations and improving communication in all types of groups. Each participant has a keypad. With the keys on the keypad, the participant can answer questions. The answers are directly saved, processed and displayed after the voting. In this way, the passive listener becomes an active participant, which allows him to take greater part in the speaker's presentation.

This presentation We will show you a number of applications for the IVS ®. You will also discover the special possibilities of the IVS ® such as: crossing, comparing and displaying priorities. This way you will get an impression of the possibilities of the IVS ®. Have fun with this presentation.

Introduction Question The first question in an IVS presentation is usually an introduction question. Often it is a question about a current or funny topic. After the introduction question people are familiar with the keypad.

Introduction Question Have you seen Elvis lately? 1) Yes 2) No 3) Who? 4) He just left the building 23,8 % 33,3 % 28,6 % 14,3 % vote now

Reference Question By posing a reference question the total group can be devided into groups with the same reference. In this next example the group is devided based on "years of experience". Other examples are: - Age - Function - Geographic location - etc.

Reference Question How many years of experience do you have in your current job? 1) 0 – 1 year 2) 1 – 2 years 3) 2 – 5 years 4) 5 – 10 years 5) More than 10 years vote now 24,0 % 20,0 % 24,0 % 12,0 %

IVS ® characteristics? Maximum attention The attention is detained longer because participants are directly involved with the presentation or lesson of the speaker Anonymous Because of the anonymity, giving a wrong answer is no longer threatening Results After closing the voting, the results are directly saved Simple preparation Everyone who has worked with Windows can make a list of questions for an IVS ® presentation. Simple controls By using the mouse or the keyboard you can walk through a presentation and vote on the questions.

Question What was the colour of the left truck? 1) blue 2) red 3) grey 4) green 5) white vote now 20,0 % 8,0 % 20,0 % 36,0 % 16,0 %

Question What was the colour of the left truck? 1) blue 2) red 3) grey 4) green 5) white 20,0 % 8,0 % 20,0 % 36,0 % 16,0 % And the correct answer is?

Crossing with reference question Crossing A "Reference Question" was asked before. This question devides the audience in "years of experience in their job". For each next question you can see the overall result and the result for each group.

Comparison How many degrees Celsius is 274 kelvin? 1) 0 degrees celsius 2) 1 degree celsius 3)-8 degrees celsius 4) 12 degrees celsius 24,0 % 16,0 % 44,0 % 16,0 % vote now

Comparison Absolute zero is the point on the thermodynamic (absolute) temperature scale where the heat energy is at a minimum, that is, no more heat can be removed from the system.

Comparison After the explanation / discussion the question will be asked again

Comparison How many degrees Celsius is 274 kelvin? 1) 0 degrees celsius 2) 1 degree celsius 3)-8 degrees celsius 4) 12 degrees celsius 16,0 % 60,0 % 8,0 % 16,0 % vote now

Comparison Before 24,0 % 16,0 % 44,0 % 16,0 % 60,0 % 8,0 % 16,0 % After

Ranking By ranking the answers the audience can make a Top-3 for themselves. The answer that received most votes is displayed at the top of the result diagram. The answer that received the least votes is displayed at the bottom. You can see at a single glance which answer received most votes.

Evaluation Please give a rating (1 to 10) for the presentation? vote now 1 = lowest score 10 = highest score Average

IVS ® + indentification

Identification Till now we have shown possibilities of anonymous voting. On the next slide we will show you what you can do with indentified voting. The difference between anonymous and identified voting is that the voting is registered to a person. You know who voted what. On the following slides you will see the following examples of identified voting: - municipality meetings - voting with weight / shareholders' meetings - a quiz
