Suspended Sentence Sentence is given but does not have to be served at this time. May have to serve if rearrested
Probation Defendant is released to supervision of probation officer after agreeing to follow certain conditions.
Home Confinement Otherwise known as House Arrest Can only leave home for essential trips, like school or work.

Restitution Defendant must pay back or makeup for loss or injury to the victim
Work Release Allowed to work but must return to prison otherwise

Parole Parole is the release of a convicted person before their entire sentence has been served. Must reach a minimum amount before they can apply. Case is then heard and decided by parole board
