1. Does God live in the church? Buildings…No. People…Yes! ( The Church (us) = The Body of Christ = The Temple of the Holy Spirit) TAKE HOME OH DYNAMIC TENANT! 3. John 3:8  The Holy Spirit never appeared in the flesh … so we don’t have a name or image to give him definition.  Yet Jesus promised that having the Holy Spirit would be much like living with him. 1 Corinthians 3:16 (NLT) ( Newer translations incorporate a plural ‘you’) Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you (all)? COMMON ERROR: THINKING THAT MY INDIVIDUAL BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF GOD GOD’S TEMPLE IS ALL OF US 1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV) (Because there is no plural ‘you’ in English. older translation tend to be misleading) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

John 17:22-23: I have given them (disciples/church) the glory you gave me, so they (that’s you AND me) may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.
