Performance Tasks The PTs are unique student activities that complement the field tests’ general test items and provide a deeper understanding of a student’s true achievement. A PT begins with a classroom activity to ensure that all students have a common understanding of the contextual elements of a PT topic. The PT is then administered on a computer, requiring students to answer a set of complex questions that are centered on the theme of the preceding classroom activity.
