POPULATION OF INDIA

Distribution of India’s population DISTIBUTIONOF A POPULATION: IS WHERE AND WHY A COUNTRYS POPULATION LIVES IN CERTAIN PLACES INDIA’S POPULATION: ARE FOUND MAJORLY IN RUAL FLAT RIVER LANDS LIKE THE RIVER GANGES COASTAL AREAS WHERE MOST THE LAGE CITIES ARE FOUND SUCH AS BOMBAY,CALCATTA AND MADRAS

PEOPLE LIVE IN THESE AREAS BECAUSE IT GIVES GOOD ACCESS FOR TRADE WITH AIR AND SEA PORTS. AS IN THE PICTURE BELOW MANY ARE FOUND LIVING AROUND RIVERS GIVES GOOD ACCESS TO WATER FOR DRINKING AND WASHING CLOTHES AND BATHING AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE ON THE RIGHT

INDIA’S POPULATION DIVERSITY DIVERSITY: IS HOW A COUNTRYS POPULATION IS MADE UP IN TERMS AGE DIFFERENCE, AMOUNT OF MALE VS FEMALE, ETHNICITY AND RLIGION INDIA IS A VERY YOUNG POPULATION WITH MOST ITS POPULICE UNDER THE AGE OF AND ONLY ABOUT 1% OF ITS POPULICE ABOUVE 80 YEARS OLD AS SHOWN IN THIS GRAPH BELOW PEOPLE ARE DIVERSE IN THE WAYS OF RELIGION. THE MAIN RLEGIONS BEING HINDUISM,BUDDHISM, JAINISM AND SIKHISM THIS IS BECAUSE MORE PEOPLE ARE HAVING CHILDREN EXPECIALLY IN SLUMS AND RURAL AREAS BECAUSE THERE IS LITTLE ELSE TO DO ALL DAY. 41 PERCENT OF HOUSEHOLDS IN MUMBAI, INDIA'S FINANCIAL CAPITAL AND LARGEST CITY, WERE LOCATED IN OVERCROWDED SHANTYTOWNS, WHERE MOST RESIDENTS ARE SQUATTING ILLEGALLY AND MANY HAVE LITTLE ACCESS TO BASIC SANITATION

THEY NEED CHILDREN TO WORK FIELDS ON RUAL LAND SOME PEOPLE IN THE SLUMS DISFIGURE THERE CHILDREN SO THEY CAN WORK THE STREETS AS BEGGERS SO MANY INDIAN CHILDREN GROW UP MISSING LIMBS OR EYES. LIKE THIS MAN ON THE LEFT WILL HAVE BEEN BEGGING ALL HIS LIFE AND MORE THAN LIKELY HAD HIS HANDS CHOPPED OFF AS A CHILD SO HE COULD BRING MORE SYMPATHY FROM TOURSTS TO BTING IN MORE MONEY

INDIA’S POPULATION CHANGE POPULATION CHANGE: IS THE SHIFT OF PEOPLE IN A COUNTRY/REGION AND ITS NATURAL INCREASE NATURAL INCREAS= TOTAL BIRTHS- TOTAL DEATHS INDIA’S POPULATION TODAY: IS ABOUT 1.2 MILLION AND AT THE RATE THEY ARE GROWING THEY WILL SOON BECOME THE MOST POPULATED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD OVER TAKING CHINA

MIGRATION IN INDIA MIGRATION: IS THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL MOVEMENT OF A COUNTRYS POPULICE URBAN TO RURAL SHIFT: PEOPLE SEEM TO ME MOVING AWAY FROM THEIR FARMS AND RUAL VILLAGES TO GET THE BENIFETS OF THE URBAN CITY SUCH AS REFUGEES MIGRATE BECAUSE THEY GET FORCED OUT OF THERE HOMES BY WAR AND NATURAL DISATERS AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE ABOVE SOME PEOPLE MOVE FOR MARRIDGE. THIS IS MOST COMMON IN RURAL AREAS WHERE ARRANGED MARRIDGE IS MORE PRACTICED THEN IN URBAN AREAS THE CHOSEN DAUHTER WILL MOVE TO LIVE WITH HER HUSBAND

RURAL TO URBAN PUSH PULL FACTORS PULL FACTORS HOSPITALS/HEALTH CARE,NIGHT CLUBS,BETTER HOUSING,BETTER JOBS,BETTER JUSTICE SYSTYM,TO LIVE WITH,FAMILY MEMBERES (CHAIN MIGRATION),EDUCATION PUSH FACTORS: LACK OF HEALLTH CEAR/HOSPITALS,NO ENTERTAINMENT,POOR SHEALTER,FARMING FOR SELF DOESN’T PAY WELL,CRIME NOT DELT WITH WELL,FAMILY MOVES AWAY,NO SCHOOLS

POPULATION SUSTAINIBILITY OF INDIA SUSTAINIBILTY OF A COUNTRY IS ITS CAPACITY OF THE ENVIRONMENT TO SUPPORT A POPULATION IN THE LONGER TERM. INDIA IS SHORT OF ROOM WITH PEOPLE PER SQUARE KILOMETER COMPARED TO NZ AT JUST PEOPLE PER SQUARE KILOMETER MUMBI IS INDIAS MOST POPULATED CITY WITH ABOUT12,478,447
