Post 16 options 2014-2015 Year 11 Start an Apprenticeship Continue with your education at college or sixth form Start an Apprenticeship Get a job or volunteer, with training Year 11

You can get a breakdown for your school from your locality team Business Manager, this will be sent to you in January starting from 2013 from your locality team.

Courses and Qualifications Level 3 2 1 General mostly examinations A/AS-level IB GCSE A*-C GCSE D-G Vocational (applied general) mostly coursework BTEC/OCR (Cambridge Technicals) Level 3 BTEC/OCR (Cambridge Technicals) Level 2 BTEC/OCR Level 1 Vocational (technical) coursework based (NVQ)/C&G L3 Advanced Apprenticeship (NVQ)/C&G L2 Intermediate Apprenticeship (NVQ)/C&G L1 Traineeship and Pre-employment schemes It is possible to study a combined some Level 3 and 2 general and vocational route at some institutions, you can also combine a level 2 eg maths/English and BTEC sport

Maths and English for Full Time Students Students who achieve a grade D in English and/or maths will need to retake Students who achieve a grade E to G in English and/or maths will need to take a stepping stone qualification such as functional skills en-route to a GCSE in these subjects.

typical minimum a-level profiles in 2014 5 GCSEs at B or above including Maths and English, Minimum of a B grade in subjects to be studied at A-Level Comberton To be invited to an informal guidance interview about your course, you will need an estimated profile of an average of grade B or above across your Key Stage 4 qualifications. This average will be based on your best eight subjects, including Maths and English Language. You do not specifically need an estimated grade B in Maths or English Language unless this is an entrance requirement for one of your AS level courses. Hills Road 5 GCSEs at C or above including Maths and English Language, ideally with B grade in subjects intend to take at AS. How to apply for: School or College course Apprenticeship Use the online application process for centres in CAP. For centres outside the CAP, approach the centre directly. Apprenticeship Search and apply for Apprenticeships online using www.apprenticeships.org.uk Contact colleges and training providers that offer apprenticeships. You can apply for some apprenticeships programmes using the CAP application process. Approach employers to see if they offer or would be willing to offer an Apprenticeship. Use all four of these to improve your chances.
