Half term 3 week 16 theme - Numeracy

“Poor numeracy is blighting Britain's economic performance and ruining lives,” according to a new charity launched to champion better maths skills. National Numeracy says millions of people struggle to understand a payslip or a train timetable or pay a household bill.  Consider the importance of the two skills mentioned here. Why may they have an effect on you? How important do you think numeracy is? What questions does the article below create in your mind? Reflect on your thoughts and the discussion for 1 minute in silence.
