Knowledge Import          Short tour Knowledge Import in DOCTUS Knowledge Import is a feature to get cases directly from external databases. You can open the dialog box from file menu or from the toolbar using button. Tabs indicates the type of input source: Excel Workbook, Microsoft Query, ODBC, Mailbox and URL Encoded Cases, though some of them is available in advanced mode only. Next

Input Sources          Short tour Knowledge Import in DOCTUS. PreviousNext Recently used data source file can be chosen from the combo box, a new one can be started by a button or existing files can be browsed. For certain data source types some of these options are meaningless, therefore disabled.

Linking Attributes          Short tour Knowledge Import in DOCTUS PreviousNext The attributes from the dkb file are listed in the list box. Select attributes to link by clicking or use the appropriate buttons. Link wizard will start with one of the following buttons: ‘link only’, ‘select cases to import’ or ‘import all’. Assign the table, the case name and the column name for each of the selected attribute in appearing dialog box. Note: The column names are retrieved from the first row of the tables, so they are to be constructed appropriately. In column names spaces are not allowed.

Clustering Numeric Input          Short tour Knowledge Import in DOCTUS PreviousNext You can import plausible (words) or numeric attributes from the external source. Statistical clustering is available for the numeric attributes. Adjust the number of expected clusters in the link wizard (previous screen). The ‘Restart’ option deletes the previous clusters and makes new ones. The ‘Continue’ option appends the new cases modifying the clusters. The ‘Does not alter’ classifies the cases only, not modifying the clusters. Note that using the ‘Restart’ option existing rules will be lost as well!previous screen

Importing Cases          Short tour Knowledge Import in DOCTUS Previous You can import all cases or select the needed ones from the appearing dialog box. If there are attributes selected for linking, link wizard is starting first. The case identifiers are also selected here. (see the third screen) Existing cases can be deleted from the knowledge base using the checkbox.see the third screen
