Data Import In order for CribMaster Advantage to function, four groups of data are required. 1. Supplier/Vendor Data – Usually entered manually, not imported 2. Employee Data – Imported 3. Item Inventory Data – Imported 4. Crib/Bin Data – Imported ProStock Toolbox Weigh Station

Data Import – Concepts All imports are processed within CribMaster Client/Admin. (Click SYSTEM; Click DB UTILITIES; Click IMPORT) Data files for importing can start as Excel files but they must be converted to CSV (Comma Separated Values) files before importing. Certain import fields/columns are required. (Yellow) RUL files are used to tell CribMaster Admin how to import the CSV data. Template RUL file are located in C:\Program Files\Cribmaster\9.X\Data\Imports

Data Import – Supplier(s) Usually entered Manually - Click HOME; Click SUPPLIER; Click the “Plus Sign” to add a Supplier

Data Import – Employees Note that a prefix has been added to the Employee Number. Template RUL files are located in C:\Program Files\Cribmaster\9.X\Data\Imports

Best Practices Stay Consistent Start your imports with the same template If the customer does not supply all data, you can not complete your imports. Avoid blanks, special characters. Save your RUL files You can not have duplicate Item Numbers or Employee IDs.
