Overview of Colleague Import Process This is not a new process. New data fields have been added to existing Colleague import process Import process is an automated process; nothing about the import process will change “Work in progress” Past the “peak” Error checking added for the new fields Warnings vs Errors

New Fields Added to Import Process Career and College Promise Pathway(s) Flag to indicate if the student is currently suspended or expelled (not tied to Career and College Promise) Field to indicate if the suspension is academic or disciplinary (not tied to Career and College Promise) Academic Program for Student NC Wise ID (imported but not displayed at this time)

Career and College Promise Pathways CTP – Core 44 College Transfer CTE – Career Technical Education CIH – Cooperative Innovative High School Student With approval, Student can be in CTP and CTE pathways at the same time If student is in CTP and CTE pathways, the CTP pathway will import as the primary pathway and the CTE pathway will import as the secondary pathway

Import Error Messages 1 Error 1: Field: IAPPL.ADMIT.STATUS: C not in validation file ADMIT.STATUSES This error indicates that SCR has not been installed. Applications for freshmen and transfers will import Applications for Career and College students will not import and will need to be manually entered Error goes away once SCR is installed.

Import Error Messages 1 Error 1: Field: INTER.APPLICATION: Multiple acad programs are valid: C25260C, C55200, C35100 Indicates the student does not have an academic program on the import file Cooperative Innovative Students (CIH) do not enter an academic program at CFNC Only creates demographics and institution data in Colleague

Import Warning Message Warning 1: IAPPL.ACAD.PROGRAM: CTE STUDY PROG. Pls Add Program C55200, to James R. Jones Occurs when student is both CTP and CTE CTP imports as the primary pathway and the “P” program the student selected imports as primary academic program CTE imports as secondary pathway At this time, process cannot import the CTE academic program and it needs to be entered manually

Future Enhancements Add the NC WISE id (probably on XNCA) Create INFORMER report to capture students who have Pathways but are missing the Pathway entry (short term solution) When student is both CTP and CTE, import the CTE academic program Resolve issue with CIH students
