DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL UNIT 8,BHUBANESWAR IDEAS & INITIATIVES FOR A BETTER TOMMORROW

The students created an awareness on the idea “ Road Safety, everybody’s concern”. As a survey regarding the causes of road accidents it revealed that most of the accidents occurred due to the victim’s negligence. They observed that most of the people have very little ideas about traffic rules.

Sometimes people don’t obey the traffic rules and they put themselves in trouble. Students have interacted with the plus- II(Intermediate) students who bring two wheelers and found that most of them are neither using helmets nor they have driving license.

Hence they decided to spread the ideas that we are responsible for our own safety. They started the awareness program with the intermediate students who are coming two wheelers and spreaded the ideas among the local people.

DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, UNIT-8, BHUBANESWAR School is going to celebrate “Road Safety Week” from 23 rd April ’14 to 28 th April’14. The students of STD VIII, IX, X can only participate in this program. Students are requesting the public to obey traffic rules … The man in the two wheeler is not wearing a helmet. Students are giving away some pamphlets on “road safety rules” and requesting to wear a helmet for a better future.

Some parents were convinced by the pamphlets and posters related to road safety and understood that if their children are above 18 years and have driving license as well as they are obeying the traffic rules then only they should be allowed to drive vehicles.

Our motto “ ROAD SAFETY EVERYBODY’S RESPONSIBILITY ”
