Environmental Sciences is a rapidly growing area, offering careers in waste management, pollution control, environmental monitoring or health and safety, to name but a few. You could also find yourself working for a local authority, an NGO, the Environmental Protection Agency, or an environmental consultancy.

At the end of first year you get to pick from whatever aspects of the course you liked. It showed me what I wanted to do, what I liked to do and what I was good at.” Sharon Murphy, Common Entry into Science student, “This route into Science was great because you have the opportunity to study a broad variety of subjects before deciding what degree course to take.
