NEW EDUCATION SYSTEM IN TURKEY YEARS COMPULSORY EDUCATION

12 Years Compulsory Education ***The years of compulsory education from eight years to 12, became law on March 30,2012. ***The new education system will be implemented in education year.

4+4+4 The new compulsory education system is divided into three levels – *four years of primary school, *four years of middle school *four years devoted to high school.

4+4+4 The new three-tier system will require students to attend a primary, secondary and a high school for four years each.

12 Years Compulsory Education Classroom teachers will conduct the initial four years of primary education, while subject teachers will enter secondary school classes.

OUR SCHOOL *is situated in a small village that has water or mineral water factories nearby. *the rate of continuing the universities is 5%. *After finishing secondary school,some of our students don’t go to the universities. *They prefer working in these factories.

Our aim is, to prevent early school leavings. Increasing the educational level of our students. Graduating from universities. to broaden our students’ educational vision to enlarge our pupils' and parents' awareness to the long-life education.

ÇAYBAŞI SECONDARY SCHOOL Beginning of school year: 16/ 09 (2nd week of September) Finishing of school year: 16/09 (2nd week of June) The whole school year week:36 weeks Teacher total lessons per week:min 15-max:30 lessons Lenght of the lessons: 40 minutes Lessons in a day:6 lessons in primary; 7 lessons in secondary. First lesson: 09:00 Last lesson: 15:35 Break: 12:20-13:20 School days: Monday- Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday Total school days per year: 200 Number of students per class:15-25
