2012 Staff Personnel Retirees The following sixteen retirees were present at the Staff Personnel Recognition and Retirement Award Program on Thursday, April 19, This year’s staff retirees represent 807 combined years of service to the university.

Linda Beckham 18 Years of Service Office of Admissions and Orientation Linda’s career at Ball State began in 1993 as a Word/Data Processor in Admissions. Linda retired on October 1, 2011.

Judy Evans 13 Years of Service Graduate School Judy came to Ball State in 1998 as an office assistant in the Graduate School. She retired on March 1, 2011.

Shelia Flanagan 35 Years of Service Office of Bursar and Loan Administration Shelia came to the university in 1977 as a Processing Cashier. Shelia retired on January 1, 2012.

Marty Gors 25 Years of Service WIPB-TV Marty’s career at the university began in 1985 as a temporary secretary at WIPB. She retired as a Bookkeeper/ Office Assistant for the station on December 1, 2011.

Barbara Hesselgrave 26 Years of Service Department of Urban Planning Barbara began work at the university in 1986 as a secretary in the Department of History. She also held positions in the School of Music. Barbara retired on February 1, 2012.

Joyce Hurst 31 Years of Service Office of Bursar and Loan Administration Joyce’s career at Ball State began as a Processing Cashier in She retired on January 1, 2012.

Mary Hurt 15 Years of Service Office of Teacher Education Services Mary came to Ball State in 1996 to the Office of Professional Lab Experience. She retired on February 1, 2012.

Behrouz Kousari 28 Years of Service University Libraries Behrouz’s career at Ball State began as a Media Lab Attendant for the Department of Library Information and Science. Behrouze retired on August 1, 2011.

Mardell Kuhns 23 Years of Service Department of Educational Leadership Mardell worked in several offices on campus prior to joining the staff in Education Administration and Supervision in She retired on May 1, 2011.

Pamela Lovis 22 Years of Service Contracts and Grants Pam’s career at Ball State began in 1990 as a secretary in Contracts and Grants. She retired on October 1, 2011.

Roger Mauller 29 Years of Service Teleplex-Media Services Roger came to Ball State as a Broadcast Engineer in the Telecommunications Department in He retired as Chief Engineer on September 1, 2011.

Tien May 41 Years of Service Department of Art Tien began her career at Ball State as an assistant cashier in the Bursar’s area. She also worked in Purchasing before joining the staff in the Department of Art. Tien retired on July 1, 2011.

Bonnie Mitchell 22 Years of Service University Human Resource Services Bonnie has welcomed visitors and callers to University Human Resource Services since She retired on April 1, 2012.

Dianne Parish 18 Years of Service School of Nursing Dianne’s career at Ball State began as an office assistant in the MBA by Television Department in She retired from the School of Nursing on July 1, 2011.

Jeraldine Richardson 33 Years of Service Ball State University Dining Jeraldine came to Ball State in 1978 as a substitute employee in Noyer Dining. She later held the position of Cook I. Jeraldine retired as a Test Kitchen Specialist on July 1, 2011.

Lucinda Webb 21 Years of Service Contracts and Grants Cindy began her career at the university in 1981 in the Office of Student Financial Assistance. In 1990 she joined the staff in Contracts and Grants and was the Business Affairs University Meritorious Service Award recipient in Cindy retired on October 1, 2011.
