EARTH We gave information to the students about the importance of earth and asked them “what are the ways of protecting the earth?” The most popular answers were ‘’recycling and planting tree’’

We selected the volunteer students.They became members of the environmentalist team. They had their task cards on their collars and they started their Works.

First, they prepared corners at the school that explain students and teachers the importance of earth and forest.

Second, They helped the cleaning of the school garden

Teachers explained the importance of recycling to the students in the classes and a new campaign Started.They collected empty batteries,lids of the bottles,waste papers and waste oil that we use at homes These are for the waste papers.We put one to each floor

The red box is for batteries,the white plastic can is for waste oil and the other plastic can with blue lid is for collecting lids.

We have official reports that shows how much kg of batteries and lids we collected and delivered to KAYPLAS

KAYPLAS gave a wheelchair to one of our handicapped student

We visited KAYPLAS with the students which means Kayseri plastic recycling plant

We wanted our students to see how the life starts in earth. We gave them some seeds and wanted them to plant in vases and water them regularly.So at the end they were very happy to see the results.

Students made presentations about the relationship between earth and trees to their friends. They learned that cutting down trees causes soil erosion because the tree roots help hold the soil in place. This protects the soil from being washed away during rainfall or blown away by the wind.

Then, they wanted to plant trees around our school garden.

These are some motto like ‘’ We can save forest with love but not with a watchman, Keep your environment clean and Save your life’’

And Some of students from theater club prepared a sketch about protecting trees and keeping clean the environment.

We organized a visit to ‘’Five Hills Park’’ on World Environment Day. Our students could find chance to observe the soil, plants, animals and nature. This visit was the last activity of Educatiton year. We are going to continue our activities next education year.
