What causes day and night? Day and night are caused by the Earth’s ‘Rotation’ Rotation means the Earth is spinning around on it’s ‘Axis’

When the sun shines on a side, it is daytime. The Earth spins around, and the sun only shines on a part of it at once. When the sun shines on a side, it is daytime.

The side the sun isn’t shining on, it is nighttime.

The Earth always continues spinning. It takes 24 hours to spin around all the way once. In that 24 hours, we will have one day and one night. One time we are facing the sun, and one time we are not. But since the Earth always spins, day always follows night.
