Time Time in Spanish is very similar to time in English. 1- Uno7- Siete 2- Dos8- Ocho 3- Tres 9- Nueve 4- Cuatro10- Diez 5- Cinco11- Once 6- Seis12- Doce

What verb do I use? SER Used to express the time of day. ES Used when referring to one oclock. SON Used when telling all other time.

Adding Minutes Minutes can be added to the hour using the word Y (and) Example : La una y diez (It is 1:10)

Subtracting Minutes Minutes can be subtracted from the hour using menos. Example: Es la una menos cinco (It is 5 min until 1 oclock, 12:55)

Y vs. Menos Minutes :01- :30 Use y to add minutes Minutes :30- :59 Use menos to subtract minutes
