Fibonacci’s Name u His real name is Leonardo of Pisa or Pisano. He got the nickname of Fibonacci when he started writing, like many authors do. u He got his last name “of Pisa” or “Pisano” because he was born in Pisa,Italy.

Fibonacci’s Sequence u Fibonacci’s sequence is 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144. u In Fibonacci’s famous sequence, each number is the sum of the previous two. u Fibonacci’s sequence can be found in his famous rabbit problem…If a pair of rabbits were put into a walled enclosure (room) to breed, how many pairs of rabbits will there be after a year if it is assumed that every month each pair produces one new pair, which begins to bear young two months after its own birth?
