Bienvenue au New Hampshire A Shopping Experience A campaign for a French-Friendly New Hampshire

At the Retail Shop A sales associate notices customers speaking French and decides to take a chance and speak a few simple phrases of French to real customers for the first time. She’s a little nervous. Bonjour. (Hello)

Bonjour. (Hello) (What a nice surprise. She speaks French.)

Comment ça va? (How are you?)

Ça va bien. (very well) Et vous? (and you?)

Très bien. (Very well) Merci. (Thank you)

The customer says something in French that the saleswoman doesn’t understand. Je parle un peu de français, et c’est tout mon français! (giggles) (I speak a little French and that is all my French!)

Your French is quite good. (in English) Merci. (Thank you) Au revoir. (Good bye)

Au revoir. (Good bye) (Wow! That went really well. I was nervous but right away I could see in her face that she understood me and appreciated my effort.)
