Office Tour – Grant Thornton  About Grant Thornton  International Firm – in 130 countries  Headquarters in Chicago with 58 offices in the US  6 th largest accounting firm according to Accounting Today in 2014  Services: Tax, Audit, Advisory  Core industries include consumer and industrial products, financial services, non-for-profit, private equity, and technology.  Bus leaves next tomorrow at 1:30 pm  Laurentide lot, next to the Center of the Arts  Arrive back around 6 or 6:30pm  Business Casual attire is appropriate

Bowl-a-thon and Community Service Hours  March 14 th 11am-1pm  $50 Minimum donation  ANY service hours should be turned in to Adam  These can be any outside hours as long as you have paperwork  After you turn them in here, you can turn them in to COBE

Golf Outing  May 2 nd, which is a Saturday  The golf outing is going to be groups of 4 players per team (2 firm reps and 2 students)  We will do a shotgun start of all 18 holes (just means a team will be on every hole)  9 hole Scramble ( ease the minds of non-golfers, play best ball)

More Facts  Ryan and I set up the foursomes based upon the sign up sheet and what you have indicated the “size” of firm you would like to intern for(we’ll have those April 9 th )  Beta Board is plugged in last as “fillers” (this is for everyone in Beta)  $25 fee associated with the golf outing (kept costs constant over past 5 years with expenses rising)

Benefits  3 guaranteed hours with a firm  Food, soda, raffle prizes after at the networking period right at Prairie Woods.  You can see the firm reps out of the office/professional setting

Concerns  It doesn’t matter if your bad at golf.  Firms are not going to judge you on your golf game.  We personally haven’t made it past the mini-putt stage ourselves.  Worse case scenario just putt or chip.  It’s a scramble!

Things You Need to Know  May 2 nd (It’s a Saturday)  $25 fee for the golf outing  We will have a sign up sheet April 9 th and 16 th  Need money by the 16th (2 weeks)  After spring break please bring back your golf clubs  There will be a fee associated to have Prairie Woods supply clubs(could share clubs)  Not mandatory, strongly encourage everyone to be there, so you all know what that means
