Two old websites are gone…

Three new websites are here! The Fisheries website and the website of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries DG have undergone a complete makeover. In addition, a brand new website has been prepared for the European Atlas of the Seas. The new websites are now online. What has changed?  Shorter texts: The texts on the new website are written in a short and succinct way. You will always be able to go deeper into the topics by clicking on the links under “related content”, by reading the texts listed under “Further reading” or by studying the legal texts and official documents listed at the bottom of the page.  More news. The news items will be published on the home page and in the press corner, and will also appear in the news corner on the relevant subpages.  More languages! Our previous website existed in 11 language versions. We are proud that the new website exists in 22 languages. For reasons of resources, news and very detailed information will not be translated to all languages.  More possibilities to search the site: All content on the site is structured by keywords. You will be able to search on specific keywords, or do a free text search. (Please note that as the website has not yet been indexed, the serach function does not yet work properly).  A new structure: We have tried to make it easier to find the topics you are interested in by restructuring the content. Legislation and official documents are no longer listed on specific legislation pages, but can be accessed from the page dealing with that particular topic. What will still change? The website is currently on-line in English only. We are finalising the other 21 language versions and will put them on-line within the next few weeks. We still have a lot of content to upload on the site, and are about to create interesting new sections. There might be broken links or problems with the navigation. We are working hard to fix these.
