Em princípio, eu via a Deus como um observador, um juiz que não perdia de vista as coisas erradas, que eu fazia. Desse modo, quando eu morresse, Ele saberia se eu merecia ir para o céu ou para o inferno. In the beginning I saw God as an observer, Who never failed to see the things I did wrong, So that when I died, He would know Whether I merited Heaven or Hell.

He was always there like a judge I recognized his image as the Way, (truth) but I did not really know Him.

Then life, with this Superior Power, became much more exciting!

But later, when I found something better, It seemed that life was like a bicycle ride for two and I realized that God was in the back seat, helping me pedal.

I do not remember when He suggested that we swap places, But life hasn’t been the same since. When I was in control, I knew the way. It was rather boring, but predictable; Always the shortest distance between two points.

But when He took the lead, (He knew marvelous shortcuts) I was climbing mountains and crossing rocky land at breakneck speed. All I could do was keep going on this bicycle for two people, And I realized that God was in the back seat, helping me pedal!

Even though it seemed like madness, He kept saying, “Pedal!, Pedal!”. I was worried and anxious and asked, “Where are You taking me?” He just laughed and did not give me an answer And I found myself starting to trust Him. I soon forgot my boring life and began to enjoy the adventure.

When I said I was scared, He would turn around and touch my hand. God led me to people with gifts that I needed: acceptance and joy, among others. These people have helped me to continue on my journey. No. this is our journey, God and mine.

Then we were off again. And He told me, “Get rid of the gifts.” They’re extra baggage, too much weight.” So I gave them to people I met, and I discovered that the more I gave, the more I got. And besides, by burden was lighter.

At first I did not trust God when He took control of my life. I thought it would destroy it. But God knew the secrets of the bike—how to tilt it And make the sharp turns, jumping to avoid places full of stones,

And to increase speed to shorten the path’s difficulty. I’m also learning to stay calm and keep cycling When things are more complicated. I learned to appreciate the scenery And the breeze fresh on my face Traveling with my great and constant friend, my God

An when I am sure that I can no longer move on, He just smiles and says, “Pedal!.

Our greatest wealth is to allow God take complete control of our lives and always first step must come from us, because He always is at our disposal to put us on your way. You do it too. Hand control of his life to God. May you have a nice day, riding a bicycle with God and so are all days of his life.
