Psalm 50:23 Thanks-Living Thanks-Living November 18, 2007

Mary & The Irish Thanksgiving

“He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God.“ - Psalm 50:23 (NASB) “He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God.“ - Psalm 50:23 (NASB)

Salvation is the work of God Solely! The Evidence of salvation is holiness of heart and life The effect of that evidence is Thanksgiving The tendency of that praise & Thanksgiving is to glorify God.

“Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” - 1 Peter 4:11

A History Lesson Leviticus 7:11-15

'Now this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings which shall be presented to the LORD. - Lev 7:11 (NASB)

And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. - Phil 4:7 (AMP)

... 'If he offers it by way of thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving he shall offer unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of well stirred fine flour mixed with oil. - Lev 7:12 (NASB)

…'With the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving, he shall present his offering with cakes of leavened bread. - Lev 7:13 (NASB)

And from it he shall offer one cake from each offering as a heave offering to the LORD. It shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offering. - Lev 7:14 (NKJV)

‘The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offering for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day it is offered. He shall not leave any of it until morning. - Lev 7:15(NASB)
