CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST FOR YOUNG PEOPLE FRIENDS AND FAMILY TEST 1 ST AUGUST – 31 ST OCTOBER 2014
The Clinical Nurse Specialist for Young People’s service is specifically aimed at vulnerable young men and women up to the age of 20 across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The service offers advice, treatment, support and contraception provision. The aim of the survey is to establish the views of our service users by completing a yellow card. Data was collected between 1 st August and 31 st October 2014 (3 months).

Every single respondent to this first question expressed that they were happy with the Young People’s Nurse. Everyone answered the question and all said that they would recommend the nurse to their friends.
57% of respondents indicated that they would have gone to a family planning or sexual health clinic if the Young People’s Nurse wasn’t available. This is a drop on the previous quarter where 70% stated “yes” they would have gone to a family planning or sexual health clinic.

Half of the respondents were aged 16 and 17 years old. An overwhelming majority of respondents (98%) were female.
Moving Forward The success of the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Young People friends and family test and more importantly the excellent feedback received is a measure of the dedication and care our staff show towards our clients. This is important feedback not just to staff but to commissioners. We look to continue and improve our services where ever possible and gather all feedback in order to do so.
