Sun Tag The Wind and the Sun Played tag all day. The Sun was it, The Wind ran away.

Author’s Notes When I was writing this poem I was thinking about the weather principle of high and low pressure. I wanted to describe how the heat from the Sun causes the wind to blow. continued

Personify: to make an object like a person When I write poetry I like to personify my subject. Including at least one rhyme is also important to me.

Think about the poem. Why do you think the author called this poem ‘Sun Tag’? Write in your journal.

Write in your journal. Why did the poet write this poem? What weather principles was the author thinking about? Click back to find answer
