Jonah 4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than 120,000 persons (…) ? Et tu voudrais que moi, je n'aie pas pitié de Ninive, de cette grande ville où vivent plus de cent vingt mille personnes? Luke 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Quand il fut arrivé tout près de la ville, il l'embrassa du regard et pleura sur elle,

Ellen G. White – Ev. 33 & 34 “Work the cities without delay, for time is short” (…) “At such a time as this, every hand is to be employed.” (…) “The burden of the needs of our cities has rested so heavily upon me that it has sometimes seemed that I should die.” Ellen G. White – Ev. 33 & 34 “Work the cities without delay, for time is short” (…) “At such a time as this, every hand is to be employed.” (…) “The burden of the needs of our cities has rested so heavily upon me that it has sometimes seemed that I should die.”

Lift up the trumpet, and loud let it ring: Jesus is coming again! Cheer up, ye pilgrims, be joyful and sing: Jesus is coming again! (Refrain) Coming again, coming again, Jesus is coming again! Echo it, hilltops; proclaim it, ye plains: Jesus is coming again! Coming in glory, the Lamb that was slain; Jesus is coming again! (Refrain) Coming again, coming again, Jesus is coming again! Heavings of earth, tell the vast, wondering throng: Jesus is coming again! Tempests and whirlwinds, the anthem prolong; Jesus is coming again! (Refrain) Coming again, coming again, Jesus is coming again! Nations are angry—by this we do know, Jesus is coming again! Knowledge increases; men run to and fro; Jesus is coming again! (Refrain) Coming again, coming again, Jesus is coming again! Jessie E. Strout, 1872 – SDA Hymnal 213

What is Podcasting ? An audio recording posted online, much like a short radio show. Think of a podcast as a radio show. Each show consists of a series of individual episodes that you can listen to how you want — on your PC, using your MP3 player, or with just a web browser.

Definition of podcasting Podcasting is a term used to describe a collection of technologies for automatically distributing audio programs over the Internet using a publisher/subscriber model. It differs from earlier online delivery of audio because it automatically transfers the digital media files to the user’s computer for later use.

Podcasting “Podcasting” combines two words: “iPod” and “broadcasting”. You don’t need an iPod to listen to a podcast! Any PC will be fine! Alternative terms would be “audio blog” or “audioblogging” “Personal On-Demand” & broadcasting, giving: POD-casting

Podcasting - What It Is A podcast is really just an mp3 audio file that is distributed via an RSS feed (by linking the mp3 file to a blog posting or to a web page). Current “podcatching” software, such as iTunes, allows the user to subscribe to an RSS feed; the software will automatically download new podcasts when they become available. iTunes

Podcasting – The Listener Subscribes to the RSS feed for the blog using “podcatching” software (such as iTunes) ONE TIME ONLY New podcasts are automatically downloaded to the user’s PC – and can be played on the computer The mp3 files can be “synched” to a portable mp3 player, such as an iPod, for anytime, anyplace listening – mobile learning – “m-learning”.

Podcasting & Emerging Technology Podcasting is a subset of RSS which is a subset of Emerging Technology Podcasting uses RSS v. 2.0 –Enclosures –Also includes videocasting –XML based –Download based –Not dependent on high bandwidth –Dependant on relatively pervasive connectivity Technically it is pull technology –Push / pull convergence –Subscription required –Has push characteristics –“Long tail” technology –Infinite number of channels!
