E-Services (E-Government)  Much public service provided by government, when official procedures require it, e- government services are accepted and used widely

E-Departure Forms Citizens can now file online their intent to travel out of country

E-Tourist Visas Visa applications can be submitted and approved online. Established in 2003 and suspended in Now in discussion stages to revive this project

Online Trade License System Companies can now apply online for export / import licenses and permits

Online Education / Master Degrees 2 universities are now offering online classes, and they are successful

Moving Forward  Pilot projects are evidence of Myanmar government’s awareness and willingness to implement e-government  Internet Penetration is the single most important factor  At least 20% of population and 75% of government offices need to get connected  Need quick, affordable and efficient methods of achieving the above goal (WiMax, Wifi, GPRS, 3G, ADSL, etc.)
