ADVERTISED TEACHING POSITIONS Advertising allows schools the greatest opportunity to select their own staff whilst protecting the industrial rights and existing guarantees of permanent employees The Local Selection Panel comprises the Principal (or delegate) as Chairperson and a representative elected by AEU members at the school

PERMANENT TEACHER REGISTER (PTR) Teachers who MUST be included in the PTR and MUST be placed ie. Teachers who have been in PAT / TPT positions in 2015 are returning from extended leave are completing tenure leadership or seconded positions

PERMANENT TEACHER REGISTER (PTR) Some teachers can OPT into the PTR and MUST be placed ie. Eligible teachers who are: exercising a guarantee (country to metro or country to country)

PERMANENT TEACHER REGISTER (PTR) Some teachers can OPT into the PTR and MAY be placed ie Eligible teachers who are: from Cat 1, 2 or Country Zones 1-5 and seeking metro placement for preferred sites only seeking alternative placement through a transfer
