6 Results of the work – regional inventory The inventory is a summary document which collects and describes the instruments to support innovation and eco-innovation (with special focus on SME’s) at the regional and national level. The report focuses on financial instruments which, as proved by the discussions of experts from the regional platform of the ECREIN project, are the most efficient methods of implementing innovation in the SME’s sector. Main conclusions of the report: –Eco-innovation and eco-investment – lack of such definitions in main regional and national strategic documents –There are no financial instruments created particularly for SME eco-innovation investments support –The access to financing of eco-innovation is difficult for SME

7 Results of the work – instruments To choose the best ways to support eco-innovation the questionnaire survey was carried out among the experts of the regional platform representing also the SME sector Proposed measures can be classified to the 2 categories: financial instruments and promotion and dissemination measures  Implement environmental campaigns and support eco-innovation through local and regional public administration  Establish Eco-economy Regional Observatory  Development and support of the Regional Business Angel Networks, Regional Seed Capital Funds, Regional Venture Capital

9 Working tracks Board of Malopolska Voivodeship decided to take part in the ECREIN NETWORK and the actions aiming at eco-innovation developement in our region. Instruments identified in ECREINetwork project will be implemented to an extent commensurate to available resources and within the framework of existing and emerging possibilities
