Contractions Make it shorter!
Objective I will be able to properly use contractions in a sentence.
Contractions “A contraction consists of two words that are combined to form one word. To “contract” means to “make smaller,” and that is what we do when we form contractions: we take two longer words and contract them into one shorter word.”

When to use… Contractions are use to take, “shortcuts” in your writing. Contractions are used when writing in an informal style.
Common Contractions is not - isn’t: Isn’t this a friendly dog? do not - don’t: Don’t knock the glass over! cannot - can’t: Jenny can’t drive yet. did not - didn’t: It didn’t rain last night. I will - I’ll: I’ll go with you to the park.
Common Contractions he will - he’ll: He’ll like this present. she will - she’ll: She’ll need a winter coat. we will - we’ll: We’ll keep you company. you will - you’ll: You’ll enjoy the book. I am - I’m: I’m very thirsty.
