Agenda Items Purpose of Title One Local Report Card ACT, AP test data Reporting Student Progress Parent-Teacher Conferences Opportunities for Parent Training

The Title One Program is intended to: Close the achievement gap Improve student achievement for all Increase parental involvement When parents are involved in education, children do better in school and schools improve.

Title One Dollars provide….. A reading lab teacher for 7 th, 8 th, and 9 th graders in need A math lab teacher for all 7 th graders Professional Development for teachers Spring Board language arts consumables for students in grades 8, 10, 11, and 12.

Homework Support Kids need a time and a place to do homework in a technology-free zone! Kids need to practice their instruments & make art Kids should study for 10 minutes X their grade level every night. – 8 th grader = 80 minutes – 12 th grader = 120 minutes

1st Qtr Interims & Report Cards 1st Quarter interim reports – home by September 17 1st Quarter report cards – available for pick up at October conferences, October 14 & 15. Check HAC regularly so there are no surprises!

Parent-Teacher Conferences Conferences can be scheduled w/teachers throughout the school year October Conferences: Tues. Oct. 14 MS – 2:15 – 5:45 pm HS – 3:15 – 6:45 pm Wed. Oct. 153:15 – 7:00 pm All teachers available
