PRESENT SIMPLE with adverbs of frequency. To talk about habits (actions that are repeated regularly over a long period of time) My neighbour plays the piano almost every night.

WILL / WON ’ T To talk about predictable or characteristic behaviour, habits and tendencies. -Is there something your parents do every evening? -They’ll watch TV together.

The time expressions that go with WILL give information about the context. He’ll usually get home around seven for a light supper. Every time I ask her about her job she won’t say a word.

KEEP + V-ing. KEEP ON + V-ing To talk about repeated behaviour, usually viewed negatively by the speaker. Even as an adult she kept buying Star Wars memorabilia. If your newspaper keeps on publishing this kind of stories, you will lose loyal readers.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS + always/forever/constantly To talk about annoying habits. It is often used to exaggerate or complain about behaviour we find irritating. My boss’s always changing her mind about how things should be done in the office.
