1. Describe the questioning of Martha Corey 1. Describe the questioning of Martha Corey. Does this seem like a fair process? Explain. It is circular and nonsensical– it seems unfair in that she is guilty until proven innocent.

2. Why do Giles and Francis interrupt the court? To provide evidence that the girls are frauds.

3. Explain the reactions of each of the following people to the interruption: Danforth, Hathorne, Parris, and Hale. Danforth is offended Hathorne is offended and vindictive Parris is nervous and worried Hale is shocked and worried
